Jan Kleihues studied at the College of Fine Arts in Berlin. From 1988 to 1992 he was a project architect at the office of Peter Eisenman in New York. He also worked at the offices of Daniel Libeskind (Berlin) and Rafael Moneo (Madrid). In 1992, Mr. Kleihues founded the Jan Kleihues office in Berlin. In 1996, he founded Kleihues + Kleihues with partners Josef P. Kleihues and Norbert Hensel. A member of the Committee for Urban Design in Munich, Mr. Kleihues has been a visiting professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin since 2006.
